Care Assistant – Children and Young People (Education Setting)
Location: Peterlee
Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Ongoing
We are seeking a Care Assistant to support children with additional needs in a specialist education setting.
This role focuses on care, wellbeing and emotional support, helping pupils feel secure, respected and ready to engage with learning.
Key responsibilities:
• Supporting pupils with daily care needs
• Providing emotional reassurance and consistency
• Supporting pupils during the school day and transitions
• Encouraging independence and self-esteem
• Working closely with teachers and SEN staff
This role is suitable for someone who:
• Has experience in care, residential or support work
• Is patient, nurturing and resilient
• Understands the importance of routine and trust
• Wants a rewarding role supporting children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
