Job Description:

We are currently seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our team in Lewisham, Greater London. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting teachers in the classroom to ensure a conducive learning environment for students.

Job Duties:

  • Assist teachers in delivering lessons and activities
  • Support individual students with their learning needs
  • Help maintain classroom discipline and order
  • Prepare teaching materials and resources
  • Provide feedback to teachers on student progress

Required Qualifications:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working in an educational setting
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience working in an educational environment

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of classroom dynamics
  • Ability to work well in a team
  • Strong organisational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school setting during school hours. The successful candidate will work full-time hours on a contract basis, following the academic calendar.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
