Protocol Education are working with a school in Teynham who enrol children from Year 3 to Year 11. The school has recently widened their curriculum to offer all KS3+ children the same subject opportunities as children attending a mainstream school.

The school are currently recruiting for a Secondary Business studies teacher to join their team. The school itself feels like a family and provides a sense belonging for their children. It is a place where staff and students are happy to be and work alongside each other to provide positive school experiences. The school is an independent provision for children with Social, emotional and mental health needs, as well as autism with low level behaviour issues. The school provides its children with a range of opportunities and experiences and utilises their huge outdoor space well.

The school are looking for applicants who will fit in with their team and respond well with the children, classroom or SEN experience is not essential. The most important thing is the relationships you can form with both staff and pupils.

The Successful candidate will:

  • Have good behaviour management skills
  • Be approachable
  • Be resilient and caring

You should:

  • Have an enhanced BDS on the update service or be willing to process a new application.
  • Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
  • Have a CV covering 10 years (this can include education)
  • Provide 2 references from your 2 previous places of employment
