Are you a business graduate looking for a change of career? Would you like to work within education and inspire a new generation of entrepeneurs? We are looking to appoint a business graduate to work within a secondary school covering Business and ICT lessons in the absence of the normal class teacher. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons to students at KS3 & KS4. 

Location: Shrewsbury

Start: September 2024

To be successful you will need to:

  • Have skills in communication, collaboration, listening, adaptability, empathy, and patience.
  • Hold a degree in Business/ICT or equivalent. 
  • Strong subject knowledge to be able to deliver lessons with accuracy 
  • Possess good teaching ability and strong management of large groups.
  • Think creatively to anticipate and solve problems.
  • Embody the values of ‘Achievement through Caring’.
  • Contribute fully to school life.
  • Have high expectations of yourself and be a role model to others.
  • Be determined to play a pivotal part in the Business Department.

Desirable:

  • Experience in using technology to enhance teaching and learning.
  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to teach other subjects would be preferable.
