Protocol Education is working with a welcoming primary school in Bradford looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to join their team full-time. You’ll be working 1:1 with a pupil who needs extra support to manage their emotions, build trust, and succeed in the classroom.
This is a role where patience, positivity and consistency make all the difference. You’ll help create a safe, structured space for learning, working closely with teachers and the SEN team to help pupils feel understood, supported and ready to shine.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with behavioural or emotional needs

Helping to de-escalate challenging situations calmly and confidently

Encouraging positive choices and celebrating progress, big or small

Supporting learning in and out of the classroom

Building strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff
What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting children with behavioural or social, emotional and mental health needs (school or care settings welcome)

A calm, patient and empathetic approach

Someone who can stay positive and consistent under pressure

A genuine passion for helping children reach their potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
