Job Duties:

The Behaviour Support Mentor/Inclusion Teacher will work closely with students to provide behavioural support, promote inclusivity, and create a positive learning environment. Duties include developing individualised behaviour support plans, implementing strategies to address challenging behaviours, collaborating with teachers and parents, and promoting social and emotional well-being.

Required Qualifications:

A relevant degree in Education or Psychology

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques
  • Ability to develop and implement behaviour support plans
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of special educational needs and disabilities

Preferred Qualifications:

Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs (SEN)

Working Conditions:

The role involves working within a school environment, collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies. Regular working hours are expected, with occasional flexibility needed to support students outside of regular school hours.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
