Behaviour Support Assistant – Specialist Setting (Durham)

Pay: £90–£110 per day

We’re recruiting a full-time Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a specialist school setting in Durham, supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.
This role is about building trust, providing consistency and helping pupils feel safe enough to engage with learning. You’ll work closely with teaching and pastoral staff to support pupils who may display challenging behaviour linked to unmet emotional needs.
The role includes:
• Supporting pupils throughout the school day
• Managing behaviour using calm, positive approaches
• Helping pupils regulate emotions and reactions
• Supporting learning activities in and out of the classroom
• Being a consistent, reliable presence for pupils

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
