Behaviour Support Assistant – SEMH Focus

This role supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs who require consistent boundaries and trusted adults to help them succeed in school.
If you’re confident supporting challenging behaviour and understand the importance of routines, relationships and regulation, this could be a great fit.
Key responsibilities

Providing targeted behaviour support in and out of the classroom

Supporting pupils during moments of dysregulation

Helping pupils re-engage with learning after incidents

Promoting positive behaviour and emotional literacy

Working closely with pastoral and teaching teams
You’ll need

Experience supporting children with SEMH or behavioural needs

A calm, firm but fair approach

Strong communication and observation skills

Confidence working one-to-one and in small groups

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
