Behavioural Support Teaching Assistant

Salary: £90 - £105 per day

Do you have experience working with children with behavioural issues?
We are looking for a highly experienced Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to start work on a full-time basis, working in a school in Wakefield.
Key responsibilities:
- Preparing the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards, to maintain a safe and clean environment
- Assisting Teachers in preparing the lesson materials and school equipment
- Recording and reporting a pupil's progress to the Teacher
- Helping pupils stay focused during class hours
- Supervising group activities, sport events and school outings
- Helping Teachers manage student behaviour
- Providing a healthy and safe learning environment for children

- Have a patient, resilient, and positive attitude towards learning and behaviour support
- Ability to communicate clearly with Teachers and younger individuals
- Ability to create an encouraging learning environment for pupils
- Understanding and sensitivity towards children
- Excellent knowledge of lessons that pupils are required to learn in class
- Ability to remain calm, during stressful situations
- A valid Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or willingness to obtain one
