Behaviour Buddy – Primary School (LS6)

We are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Buddy to join a nurturing primary school in LS6, Leeds. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference and helping children develop both socially and emotionally, as well as academically.

The Role:

  • Support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 with social, emotional, and behavioural needs

  • Work one-to-one or in small groups to help students manage their emotions and behaviour

  • Implement behaviour support strategies and help maintain a positive learning environment

  • Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils and act as a positive role model

  • Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams to ensure every child feels supported and included

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Confident, calm, and compassionate when working with children

  • Strong communication and behaviour management skills

  • A background in youth work, sports coaching, care, or education is desirable but not essential

  • Able to build positive relationships and encourage good behaviour through empathy and consistency

  • Resilient and proactive, with a genuine desire to make a difference in children’s lives
