Job Title: Behaviour Specialist – Secondary School

Location: [Walsall]
Salary: £90–£120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, Long-term

About the Role

Got a knack for calm? We’re looking for a Behaviour Specialist who can bring patience, consistency, and positivity to a busy secondary school.

This role is all about helping students manage their emotions, build confidence, and re-engage with learning. You’ll be working closely with the pastoral team and SENCO to support pupils who need a little extra guidance to get back on track.

If you’re the kind of person who can stay steady when the classroom gets stormy, and you believe in second (and third!) chances — this could be your perfect fit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting students with behavioural and emotional needs

  • Running small group or one-to-one interventions

  • Promoting positive relationships and classroom engagement

  • Working alongside teachers, parents, and pastoral staff to build consistent strategies

  • Helping create a safe, inclusive learning environment where every student feels seen and supported

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience supporting young people with behavioural or SEMH needs

  • Understanding of trauma-informed practice and de-escalation techniques

  • A calm, empathetic approach (and a good sense of humour helps too!)

  • A passion for helping students rediscover their confidence and potential
