We are working with a supportive secondary school in South Shields to recruit a Behaviour Mentor for supply and long-term opportunities. The school takes a relationship-led approach, focusing on consistency, clear boundaries and positive role modelling to help pupils thrive.

This role suits a Behaviour Mentor who can remain calm, fair and consistent while supporting pupils to make positive choices.

About the role

  • Support pupils with behavioural and emotional needs

  • Work 1:1 and in small groups

  • Help pupils regulate emotions and behaviour

  • Reinforce positive behaviour strategies

  • Work closely with pastoral, SEN and teaching staff
