SEMH & Behaviour Intervention Assistant – Gateshead

This fantastic Gateshead provision is looking for someone who can support targeted interventions for pupils with high SEMH needs. You’ll be part of a small, nurturing team that works closely with pupils who struggle with anxiety, trauma, behaviour regulation or low self-esteem.
Daily duties:
• Running small interventions around social skills, confidence and resilience
• Supporting pupils with emotional regulation throughout the day
• Assisting teachers during lessons with de-escalation and structure
• Building safe, trusting relationships with pupils who need consistency
What helps you succeed here:
• Experience with SEMH, behaviour or trauma-informed practice
• Strong resilience and a calm presence
• A sense of humour and the ability to reset and start fresh each day

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
