Behaviour & Emotional Regulation Support Assistant
Location: Sunderland
Contract: Full time, long term
Start: ASAP
Pay: £89 to £110 per day (PAYE)
This specialist setting is looking for someone steady, confident, and brilliant at building trust. You’ll be working with pupils who need extra help regulating emotions, managing behaviour, and feeling safe in the classroom.
Daily responsibilities:

Supporting pupils through challenging moments with calm guidance

Helping pupils develop emotional regulation skills

Offering consistent, predictable boundaries

Using trauma-informed approaches
-
Working alongside the behaviour and wellbeing team
Ideal candidates:

Have worked with SEMH or behaviour needs
-
Understand de-escalation
-
Communicate clearly and calmly
-
Enjoy helping pupils grow in confidence and resilience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
