Autism Teaching Assistant – Primary SEN (Peterlee)

Pay: £90–£110 per day
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
We’re looking for an Autism Teaching Assistant to support pupils in a structured, supportive primary environment.
You’ll work with children who benefit from clear communication, predictable routines and patient support. Understanding autism and behaviour as communication is key to this role.
The role involves:
• 1:1 and small-group autism support
• Supporting routines and transitions
• Using calm, consistent communication
• Supporting sensory and emotional needs
• Encouraging independence and engagement

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
