Level 3 Teaching Assistant – Specialist Provision
Location: Northumberland
Contract: Full-time or Part-time considered
Salary: £89–£110 per day (PAYE)
A specialist provision in Northumberland is seeking experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistants to join their committed and caring team.
The school supports children aged 3 to 11 with a wide range of additional needs, including autism, severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and speech and communication disorders. It’s a place where pupils are celebrated for who they are, and where support is tailored, respectful, and holistic.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing consistent, 1:1 or small-group support to pupils with complex needs

Supporting access to learning across any key stage

Helping deliver individual education plans in collaboration with teachers and therapists

Creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment

Supporting behaviour, emotional regulation, and personal development
What we’re looking for:

Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Previous experience working with children with SEND
-
Strong communication skills and a calm, reliable approach
-
A genuine commitment to inclusive education and teamwork
-
Willingness to complete Thrive or other SEND CPD (we’ll support you!)
