Autism Support Worker – Bradford Primary Schools

We’re looking for a compassionate Autism Support Worker to join our team of brilliant educators across primary schools in Bradford.

You’ll be working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who have autism, helping them build confidence, access learning, and enjoy their school day. Every breakthrough moment - big or small - will have your name written all over it.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting children with autism across classroom and sensory settings

  • Working closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt lessons and routines

  • Using communication tools and strategies (like PECS, visual timetables, or Makaton)

  • Creating a safe, structured space where pupils can thrive

You’ll be great for this role if you:

  • Have experience supporting children or young people with SEND (especially autism)

  • Are patient, understanding, and confident in your approach

  • Can bring positivity and structure to every day

  • Have a genuine passion for helping pupils reach their full potential
