Autism Support Worker

The Role
Protocol Education are working alongside a Wiltshire based SEN school and are looking for an Autism Support Worker (ASW) to work alongside the current teaching and support staff to support students with complex needs. The specific role will be working with students with Complex ASD who are KS1 age.
The school aims to build and promote a safe and independent lives for autistic young people through support, understanding and enablement.
Key Aspects of the Role:
- Provide tailored support to pupuls to enable them to learn in an appropiate environment
- Ensure the safeguarding off all pupils
- Provide care as required. This may include personal care and support of SEMH (Training will be provided)
- To assist in delivering and running small group activities
- To support the class teacher in the general running of the sessions
- Prepare materiales, learning aids
Due to the nature of the students, experience working with SEN is preffered. The needs can be complex, so an understanding and confidence in dealing with this would be preferred. The school do also support new staff very well.
