Looking for a role that makes a real difference, even just two days a week?

We’re working with a specialist setting in Peterlee that provides outstanding education and care for children and young people with autism and additional learning needs. They’re seeking a calm, committed, and autism-aware Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with autism and communication differences in small, structured classrooms

  • Assisting with sensory regulation and learning activities

  • Building positive relationships that help each pupil feel safe and understood

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to deliver tailored support

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting pupils with ASD or complex learning needs (school, care, or community setting)

  • A patient, consistent, and empathetic approach

  • Confidence working as part of a multi-disciplinary team

  • A full driving licence and access to a car (for a site change mid day)
