Protocol Education are recruiting a ASD/ SLD Teaching Assistant to work in a Primary School 121 with children with Severe Learning Difficulties and Autism. 

You will be working largely term time, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of a conscientious and friendly team.

You will work in small classes, supporting the planning, preparing and delivering of learning activities and the recognition of pupil achievement both in class and at activities such as swimming, horse riding, playtime, leisure and lunchtimes. We will support and encourage your continuing learning in working with pupils with autism.

The ideal candidate will have:


Knowledge or Experience of working with children and young people with special educational needs
Demonstrable experience of the ability to understand and support children with developmental difficulty or disability
Knowledge/Awareness of Autism
Knowledge/Awareness of Challenging Behaviour
Have passion and belief in helping our pupils to achieve their full potential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
