Position: SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1)

Start Date: September 2025
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term
Salary: £85–£100 per day (depending on experience)

A warm and inclusive primary school in Newham is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a bright and friendly Year 3 boy with Autism (ASD) starting in September.
About the Role:
- 1:1 classroom support for a pupil with a diagnosis of Autism
- Supporting with communication, emotional regulation, and focus in class
- Working closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and external professionals
- Creating a calm and structured environment to help the pupil thrive
- Full-time role (Monday to Friday, school hours)
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working with children with Autism (ASD), ideally in a primary school setting
- A calm, consistent, and nurturing approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build trust and positive relationships with children and staff
- Knowledge of visual timetables, sensory strategies, and EHCP targets is a plus
