We’re working with a fantastic school that’s looking for a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with Autism (ASC) on a one-to-one basis.
This role isn’t just about being in the classroom—it’s about helping a child feel safe, supported, and understood, while giving them the tools to thrive in their learning and beyond.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with Autism (ASC)

Helping them access lessons and routines with confidence

Using patience, empathy, and creativity to meet their individual needs

Working closely with the SENCO, teachers, and parents to ensure consistent support

Encouraging independence and celebrating progress, no matter how small
What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting children or young people with SEN, ideally ASC
-
A calm, positive, and resilient approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills

Commitment to building trust and long-lasting relationships

Willingness to learn and adapt—every day is different

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
