Salary: £90–£110 per day (PAYE)

We’re looking for a dedicated ASC Teaching Assistant to join a specialist setting in the Peterlee area. The school supports pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and additional communication and learning needs, offering a nurturing and structured environment where every small success is celebrated.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with ASC

Supporting communication, sensory and emotional needs in class

Encouraging confidence, independence, and social interaction

Working closely with teachers, therapists, and support teams to create a calm, consistent environment
What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting children or young people with ASC or other SEND (school, residential, or care experience all welcome)

A patient, positive approach with a good sense of humour
-
Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for inclusion
