ASC Teaching Assistant – Primary (Sunderland)
Location: Sunderland
Contract: Full-time, Long-term
Pay: £90–£110 per day (PAYE)

We’re looking for an experienced ASC Teaching Assistant to join a specialist primary setting in Sunderland. You’ll be supporting pupils with autism and complex communication needs, helping them build confidence, develop life skills, and make genuine progress in a safe, structured environment.
What you’ll be doing:

Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with ASC

Assisting with sensory regulation and communication strategies

Working closely with teachers and therapists to deliver individualised learning plans

Supporting positive behaviour through clear routines and calm, consistent communication
What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting children with autism or other additional needs
-
A caring, proactive approach with excellent communication skills
-
Team Teach or Thrive training (bonus if you have it, but not essential)
