We’re working with a welcoming SEND school in Hackney that’s looking for a full-time ASC Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports children and young people with autism and complex needs, and they do it with patience, structure and a lot of heart.
This is a role for someone calm, consistent and confident, the kind of person who can spot a wobble before it turns into a wave, and knows that progress comes in many forms.
What you’ll be doing:

Supporting pupils with autism in a specialist SEND setting

Helping students access learning in a way that works for them

Using structure, routine and visual support to build confidence

Working closely with teachers, therapists and SEN staff
-
Being a steady, trusted presence in the classroom, every single day
What we’re looking for:

Experience supporting children or young people with ASC or SEND
-
A calm, patient and positive approach
-
Confidence with behaviour support and emotional regulation
-
Someone reliable who wants a full-time, long-term role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
