We’re working with a welcoming SEND school in Hackney that’s looking for a full-time ASC Teaching Assistant to join their team. The school supports children and young people with autism and complex needs, and they do it with patience, structure and a lot of heart.

This is a role for someone calm, consistent and confident, the kind of person who can spot a wobble before it turns into a wave, and knows that progress comes in many forms.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Supporting pupils with autism in a specialist SEND setting

  • Helping students access learning in a way that works for them

  • Using structure, routine and visual support to build confidence

  • Working closely with teachers, therapists and SEN staff

  • Being a steady, trusted presence in the classroom, every single day

What we’re looking for:

  • Experience supporting children or young people with ASC or SEND

  • A calm, patient and positive approach

  • Confidence with behaviour support and emotional regulation

  • Someone reliable who wants a full-time, long-term role

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
