Job Duties:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging art lessons to students
  • Develop and implement art curriculum in line with educational standards
  • Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
  • Encourage creativity and artistic expression among students
  • Organise and supervise art projects and exhibitions
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support students' learning

Required Qualifications:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Degree in Art Education or related field
  • Knowledge of art history, techniques, and materials
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students

Education:

  • Degree in Art Education or related field
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience:

  • Previous experience teaching art in a school setting
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of art curriculum and educational standards
  • Proficiency in various art techniques and mediums
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Ability to assess and evaluate student progress effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Postgraduate qualification in Art Education
  • Experience in organising art events and exhibitions

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
