We’re working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Middlesbrough that is seeking a motivated Art and Design Teacher to join their creative department. The school places real value on the arts, supports innovation in teaching, and offers a positive, collaborative working environment.
The role includes:

Teaching Art and Design across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 opportunities available if desired

Delivering engaging and well-structured lessons in drawing, painting, mixed media, and contextual studies

Supporting pupils of mixed abilities and nurturing confidence in creative expression

Contributing to displays, enrichment projects, and the wider creative life of the school

Maintaining positive behaviour and clear classroom expectations
The school is looking for someone who:

Holds UK QTS (or is working towards it)

Has experience teaching Art and Design in a UK secondary school

Balances creativity with strong classroom management

Brings enthusiasm, organisation, and a calm, supportive approach

Enjoys being part of a friendly and inclusive school community
