Deputy Nursery Manager – Starting ASAP
Location:  Harrow
Start Date: ASAP
Hours: Full TimeMonday- Friday 8am-3pm

Long term role

Small, Ofsted Outstanding, Family-Run Nursery

Looking for your next step in early years, but still want to be hands-on with the children?

We’re working with a nursery that genuinely feels like home. This isn’t a desk-based leadership role. It’s for someone who loves being on the floor, supporting little learners, guiding staff, and helping shape a nurturing, inspiring environment every single day.

You don’t have to have been a Deputy Manager before, but you do need to be capable, confident and ready to step into a key leadership role. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone ready for that next step but who still wants to be very much part of the day-to-day magic of nursery life.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the day-to-day running of the nursery alongside the Manager
  • Being hands-on in the rooms, delivering high-quality care and learning
  • Acting as a key person and building strong relationships with families
  • Ensuring safeguarding and welfare requirements are consistently met
  • Supporting and mentoring staff
  • Contributing to engaging, well-planned learning experiences in line with EYFS and Montessori principles
  • Playing a key part in the nursery’s continued development

Over time, you’ll grow into a key leadership figure within the setting, with real opportunity to shape practice and make your mark.

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum CACHE Level 3 in Childcare
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS
  • Montessori knowledge and a creative approach to learning
  • A genuine passion for child development
  • Someone confident enough to step up, even if this is your first Deputy role
