Responsibilities:

As an Academic Mentor, your key responsibilities will include:

  1. One-on-One Support: Providing personalized academic support to students, tailoring your assistance to their individual learning needs.

  2. Small Group Sessions: Conducting small group tutoring sessions to reinforce core academic concepts and foster peer collaboration.

  3. Subject Mastery: Demonstrating expertise in specific academic subjects, such as mathematics, science, English, or humanities, and effectively conveying complex topics to students.

  4. Study Strategies: Assisting students in developing effective study strategies, time management skills, and organizational techniques to enhance their academic performance.

  5. Progress Tracking: Regularly monitoring students' academic progress and maintaining detailed records of their achievements and areas for improvement.

  6. Motivation and Confidence Building: Encouraging and inspiring students to develop self-confidence, set educational goals, and excel academically.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A degree in Education or a related field (preferred).
  • Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
