Responsibilities:

As an Academic Mentor, your core responsibilities will include:

  1. Personalized Support: Providing tailored academic guidance and support to students, addressing their unique learning needs and challenges.

  2. Small Group Sessions: Conducting small group tutoring sessions to reinforce fundamental academic concepts and promote collaborative learning experiences.

  3. Subject Expertise: Demonstrating proficiency in specific academic subjects, such as mathematics, science, English, or humanities, and effectively conveying complex topics to students.

  4. Study Skills Enhancement: Assisting students in developing effective study strategies, time management techniques, and organizational skills to improve their academic performance.

  5. Progress Tracking: Continuously monitoring students' academic progress, maintaining meticulous records, and communicating findings to relevant stakeholders.

  6. Motivation and Confidence Building: Encouraging students to set educational goals, fostering self-confidence, and motivating them to excel academically.

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, or mentoring students.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
