We’re looking for a caring and committed Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a pupil in a mainstream primary school. The role involves supporting a child who needs extra help—academically, emotionally, or behaviourally—so they can thrive in class.

This is where your calm presence and ability to build trust really matter.


What the role involves:

  • Providing consistent 1:1 support during lessons and activities

  • Helping the pupil stay focused, engaged, and included

  • Supporting learning through tailored strategies and encouragement

  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to meet specific needs


We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has experience working with children (school-based or similar)

  • Can offer empathy, structure, and clear boundaries

  • Understands how to support pupils with SEND or SEMH needs

  • Is reliable, flexible, and up for a challenge

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
