Protocol Education are currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to work 1:1 with a child with additional needs.

This role will suit a candidate who has experience of working with children with SEN. The child requires someone who has a calm and reassuring nature and who can demonstrate positive behaviour management. The candidate will be required to support the child with movement breaks, speech and language and differentiated learning opportunities. We are looking for someone who is an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual who is able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.

The hours are full time Monday-Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm.

The successful applicant will:

  • Deal with situations sensitively and proactively
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for all learners
  • The ability to effectively support children with differing needs 
  • Be able to provide social, emotional and behavioural support
  • Be confident in liaising with other staff and parents/carers
  • Have high expectations of what all pupils can achieve and are able to motivate and inspire confidence and independence in pupils
