1:1 Support Assistant – Secondary Schools (Ashington)
£90 to £110 per day (PAYE)

We’re looking for dedicated individuals to provide 1:1 support for students with special educational needs in secondary schools across Ashington. You’ll work closely with pupils who need extra help — building trust, encouraging independence, and ensuring they feel supported and included in every lesson.
This is a rewarding opportunity for anyone with experience in education, care, or youth support — or for those looking to begin a meaningful career helping young people reach their potential.
What you’ll do:

Provide tailored 1:1 support for students with SEND

Help pupils engage with lessons and develop confidence

Support emotional wellbeing and positive behaviour

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
You’ll need:

Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude

The ability to build strong, trusting relationships with young people

A flexible and reliable approach

Experience in education, care, or SEND support is an advantage but not essential

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
