We’re working with a number of primary schools across Merton looking for skilled and supportive 1:1 Support Assistants to join their teams. These roles are full-time and long-term, working with individual pupils who need a little extra help to shine.
Whether it’s helping a child with autism find their voice, supporting emotional regulation, or simply being a steady presence in the classroom—you’ll be the trusted adult they can rely on.
You’ll be:

Providing 1:1 support tailored to a pupil’s specific needs

Assisting with communication, emotional wellbeing, and learning

Working closely with SENCOs, teachers, and parents to ensure consistency

Helping create an inclusive, safe, and engaging classroom environment
We’re looking for people who:

Have experience supporting children with SEND (autism, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs)

Stay calm under pressure and can adapt on the go

Build strong, trusting relationships with children

Are Thrive trained—or open to completing our free training

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
