Be the difference for one child—schools across Lambeth need you.
We’re working with a number of primary schools across Lambeth looking for skilled and supportive 1:1 Support Assistants to join their teams. These full-time, long-term roles involve working closely with individual pupils who need a steady, understanding adult in their corner.
From supporting autism and ADHD to emotional needs and communication challenges, you’ll be a calm, consistent presence helping pupils thrive in their own time and way.
What you’ll be doing:
-
Supporting one pupil with tailored, day-to-day learning and emotional support
-
Helping them stay engaged, regulated, and involved in classroom life
-
Working closely with SENCOs, class teachers, and families to create consistency
-
Creating a safe space for learning—emotionally and practically
What we’re looking for:
-
Experience supporting children with SEND (especially autism, ADHD, or SEMH)
-
Patience, emotional intelligence, and great listening skills
-
Confidence in working 1:1 and adapting to pupil needs
-
Thrive training is a bonus—but if not, we’ll provide it free
What you’ll get from Protocol Education:
-
Weekly pay via PAYE (no umbrella deductions)
-
A friendly, specialist SEND consultant who knows Lambeth schools
-
Free CPD and Thrive training
-
Supportive roles that make a real impact
-
Access to schools who truly value support staff
