We’re working with a brilliant setting that supports pupils with complex behavioural needs, often linked to trauma, autism, or social and emotional needs. They’re looking for a 1:1 Behavioural Support Assistant who can build trust, stay patient, and help a young person feel safe enough to learn again.
What your day might look like

Working 1:1 with a pupil who needs consistent, calm support

Helping them make sense of routines, transitions, and tricky moments

Using de-escalation strategies and therapeutic approaches to keep everyone feeling safe

Collaborating closely with the SENCO, therapists, and teaching staff

Celebrating the small wins that mean everything in a specialist environment
Who we’re looking for

Someone who stays cool and kind, even when behaviour escalates

Experience with SEMH, trauma-informed practice, PRU settings, or SEND helps, but attitude and approach matter most

A reflective practitioner who understands that behaviour is communication

A team player with strong communication skills and a willingness to learn
