About the role
You’ll be working directly with one pupil who finds the school day a little tougher to navigate. Your role is to help them settle, feel safe, and take part in learning at a pace that works for them.
Day-to-day, you will:

Build a positive, consistent relationship with the pupil

Support them through lessons, transitions, and social times

Use agreed strategies to help them manage emotions and behaviour

Encourage small steps forward in confidence, communication, and self-regulation

Step in with de-escalation when needed, always with empathy

Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and the pastoral team
