At Protocol Education we’re working with a welcoming and well-supported SEND school that’s looking for a compassionate 1:1 support assistant working with a pupil who needs consistency, patience, and someone who really gets them. You’ll be part of a team that truly values support staff and knows the huge impact you make every single day.
What you’ll be doing as a 1:1 Support Assistant
- Providing 1:1 support that helps the pupil feel settled, safe, and ready to learn.
- Working closely with the SENCO and therapists to follow personalised strategies
- Supporting emotional regulation, communication, and engagement
- Helping create routines and activities that build confidence
- Being that steady, reassuring presence that makes school feel manageable
What we’re looking for a 1:1 Support Assistant
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
- A calm, thoughtful approach to behaviour
- Someone who listens, adapts, and builds trust
- Strong communication skills and a genuinely caring nature

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
