We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated 1:1 SEND Support professional to join our team at Newcastle school specializing in ASC and communication needs. The successful candidate will work closely with individual students to provide tailored support to help them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with SEND, including ASC, communication needs, and other learning difficulties
  • Work closely with teachers and other members of the school staff to develop and implement tailored support plans for individual students
  • Monitor student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents
  • Help students develop social and communication skills, as well as academic skills
  • Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students

Qualifications and Skills

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in working with students with SEND, including ASC and communication needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively
  • A commitment to equal opportunities and inclusion in education

Pay rate is dependent in experience and qualifications.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
