Protocol Education are seeking a 1:1 SEND Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a Primary School in Stanford Le Hope for September. Experience with Autism and Non verbal children beneficial.

Job Type:
Temporary, Full-Time hours 8.30am - 3.15pm
Job Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to a primary school student with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) who is non-verbal and can display challenging behaviour
- Assist with the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs)
- Support the student in accessing the curriculum and classroom activities
- Help the student develop social and communication skills
- Monitor and record the student's progress and behaviour
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure the student's needs are met
- Assist with some personal care
Required Qualifications:
- Previous experience working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Experience in a primary school setting
- Understanding of non-verbal communication strategies
- Ability to provide individualised support and adapt to the student's needs
Knowledge and Skills:
- Knowledge of strategies to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and understanding
- Collaborative work with teachers, parents, and other professionals

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
