1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

Currently looking to recruit a 1:1 Autism specialist to work within a SEND school in Middlesbrough. Due to the importance of consistency and continuity, this is a long term opportunity for an educator who can successfully form a relationship with the young person. You will be expected to support with education and pastoral care, and must be confident in supporting during break and lunch times. Are you a positive role model, effective communicator and can adapt to varying needs? Well this could be the role for you!

Start date: 10/03/2023

Hours: Monday-Friday Full time

Term: Long term


  • Have experience working in a SEN setting
  • Have experience working with SEN children and willing to help with pupil’s personal care needs if required
  • Be a team player with a flexible approach to teaching
  • Strong understanding of ASC
  • Be confident working 1:1 with a Primary aged student
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to make a positive contribution to the school as a whole
  • Available full time
