1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant

We’re working with a welcoming special needs school that’s looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where patience, empathy and consistency make a real difference every single day.
The role
You’ll be supporting one pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them to feel safe, engaged and ready to learn. Your day will include:

Providing tailored support to meet the pupil’s individual needs

Encouraging communication, independence and emotional regulation

Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to follow support plans

Supporting learning through play, structure and routine

Being a calm, positive presence throughout the school day
About you
You don’t need to know everything already, the right attitude matters most. You’ll ideally have:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, or a strong desire to do so

A patient, caring and resilient nature
-
Confidence supporting behaviour, communication or sensory needs
-
A genuine passion for helping children thrive
-
A team-first mindset and great communication skills

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
