Special Needs School | Full-time | Term-time

Do you believe every child deserves to feel understood, supported and celebrated? Are you the kind of person who notices the small wins and knows they matter? If so, this could be a really special role for you.

We’re working with a welcoming special needs school that’s looking for a dedicated 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional needs. This is a rewarding, hands-on role where patience, empathy and consistency make a real difference every single day.

The role

You’ll be supporting one pupil on a 1:1 basis, helping them to feel safe, engaged and ready to learn. Your day will include:

  • Encouraging communication, independence and emotional regulation

  • Working closely with teachers and SEN staff to follow support plans

  • Supporting learning through play, structure and routine

  • Being a calm, positive presence throughout the school day

About you

You don’t need to know everything already, the right attitude matters most. You’ll ideally have:

  • Experience working with children or young people with SEN, or a strong desire to do so

  • A patient, caring and resilient nature

  • Confidence supporting behaviour, communication or sensory needs

  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive

  • A team-first mindset and great communication skills

Why apply?

  • Make a meaningful impact in a child’s daily life

  • Support from an experienced school and specialist team

  • Opportunities to develop your SEN skills and training

  • A role that’s challenging, rewarding and never dull
