Job Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who have experienced trauma and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges
- Assist students with academic tasks, emotional regulation, and social skills development
- Implement individualised education plans and behaviour management strategies
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports on student development
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of Level 2 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or equivalent
- Experience working with students with SEN, trauma, and SEMH
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and adapt support strategies
Education:
Relevant qualification in education or special educational needs
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN, trauma, and SEMH needs
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently
Preferred Qualifications:
- Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools or higher
- Additional training in trauma-informed care or mental health support

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
