Job Duties:
- Provide one-to-one support to SEN (Special Educational Needs) students with high needs
- Assist in implementing individual education plans and support strategies
- Help students with personal care and mobility if required
- Support students in accessing the curriculum and learning materials
- Monitor and track student progress and behaviour
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with SEN students
- Knowledge of SEN support strategies and interventions
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
Education:
Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or Education Support
Experience:
Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
- Understanding of SEN policies and procedures
- Ability to adapt support strategies based on individual student needs
- Patience and empathy in working with students with high needs
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional training in behaviour management or specific learning difficulties
Working Conditions:
- Work primarily within a school setting
- May involve assisting students with personal care needs
- Full-time hours with occasional flexibility required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
