Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one support to SEN (Special Educational Needs) students with high needs
  • Assist in implementing individual education plans and support strategies
  • Help students with personal care and mobility if required
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and learning materials
  • Monitor and track student progress and behaviour
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with SEN students
  • Knowledge of SEN support strategies and interventions
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Education:

Relevant qualification in Special Educational Needs or Education Support

Experience:

Prior experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN policies and procedures
  • Ability to adapt support strategies based on individual student needs
  • Patience and empathy in working with students with high needs

Preferred Qualifications:

Additional training in behaviour management or specific learning difficulties

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily within a school setting
  • May involve assisting students with personal care needs
  • Full-time hours with occasional flexibility required

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
