Job Description:

Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) difficulties.
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Support the educational and social development of students under the guidance of the SENCO.
  • Help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.

Required Qualifications:

  • Ideally a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH needs.

Education:

  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN and SEMH needs.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Training in safeguarding and child protection.
  • First Aid certification.

Working Conditions:

  • Work hours: Full-Time, temporary position.
  • Work primarily within the school setting.
  • May involve some physical activities and standing for extended periods.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
