Job Duties:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) with high needs
  • Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) for students
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum and participating in classroom activities
  • Help students develop social and communication skills
  • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEN
  • Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role preferred

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of different learning needs and abilities
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual students
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Patience and empathy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • SEN qualification
  • First Aid certification

Working Conditions:

This role may require some physical activity and the ability to provide support throughout the school day. Work hours may vary based on student needs.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
