Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) who exhibit challenging behaviours
  • Implement individualised strategies and interventions to support students in their learning and social development
  • Work closely with teaching staff and external professionals to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment
  • Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to the relevant stakeholders
  • Assist with personal care and other tasks as required

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with SEN and challenging behaviours
  • Understanding of behaviour management techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths

Experience:

Prior experience in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge of SEN support strategies
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Training in safeguarding and first aid

Working Conditions:

This role involves working in a school setting with students who have challenging behaviours. The successful candidate may need to provide personal care and support throughout the day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
