Job Description:
Job Duties:
- Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) specifically focusing on Autism
- Implement individualised education plans and strategies to support the learning and development of students
- Assist with classroom activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to address the unique needs of each student
- Document and report on student progress and behaviour
Required Qualifications:
- Experience working with children or young adults with Autism and SEN
- Understanding of SEN policies and procedures
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
- Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
- Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
- Knowledge of Autism and strategies to support individuals with Autism
- Strong behaviour management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- SEN qualification or relevant training
- First Aid certification
- Experience using Makaton or PECS

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
