Job Duties:

  • Provide 1:1 support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in the classroom setting
  • Assist with the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies
  • Support students with their academic and social development
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
  • Previous experience working with individuals with SEN
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Education:

Relevant qualification in Education or Special Educational Needs

Experience:

Experience working in a similar role within an educational setting

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Understanding of SEN provisions and support strategies
  • Ability to adapt and tailor support to meet individual student needs
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
  • Training in safeguarding and child protection

Working Conditions:

  • Work primarily in a classroom setting
  • Full-time hours, temporary position
  • Potential for some flexibility in working hours

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
